Over the past year, my work can be summarized as football culture art. I am not interested in the pristine and glamorous professional pitches. Rather, I investigate themes of pride, nationalism, and masculinity through often overlooked football moments, closer to the families gathering around an old TV, or fans wearing bootleg jerseys.
In the past, I've explored other themes such as nostalgia, childhood, and stillness in topics beyond soccer. Most of my work consists of fantasized and theatrical retellings of my own lived experiences, where the subjects are an amalgamation of friends, family, and self-portraits.
Though I've mostly worked with graphite, ink, and colored pencils on paper, past works include oil and acrylic painting, as well as substantial digital manipulations and illustrations.
